DIY Vintage Advertising Pin Frame

A few weeks ago I found the cutest little vintage advertising pins while browsing through etsy one evening before bed. They really popped out at me, so I just had to get them! I thought they would make a really fun embellishment for a frame. And as it turns out, they really do add a fun detail. This little frame was a blast to make too!

Here’s What You Need:

*Frame

*Paint (optional)

*Vintage Advertising Pins ( I bought mine Here)

*Drill and a tiny bit like 1/16th or 3/32

*Super Glue

Instructions:

The first thing you want to do is gather your supplies and find a frame you like. Now, play around with the layout of the pins until you are happy with the design. Mark out where the pins will be going, making sure to space them out evenly. Use a ruler if you need to. Now, drill pilot holes into your frame where you marked with your little drill bit. At this point you can paint your frame if you desire to, or move on to the next step. Once your holes are drilled and you have painted your frame, you need to glue in your pins. Brush a little super glue onto the bottom tip of your pin and insert it into the hole you drilled. Make sure to quickly position it where you want it before it dries. Repeat with the other pins until you have completed your design. Now frame a cute pic inside and enjoy!

I have to say, this little frame makes me smile every time I pass by it. The little pins are so cute and funky! And of course the frame holds one of my favorite pictures of Roux, which makes it extra cute. I think it would be fun to put these pins all the way around a square wall frame too. There are so many possibilities. I hope some of you guys will give this one a try, you’ll love it!

Happy Crafting!
