13 Days of Halloween- Fun Striped Halloween Tree and Spooky Ghost Ornaments

Happy Friday everyone! Welcome to day 5 of my 13 Days of Halloween special! Today I have one of my favorite Halloween crafts so far to share with you, a Halloween tree. This cute little tree is really easy to make and pretty much free to make. I made one a couple of years ago and my cat Jack kept trying to eat it, and needless to say it got ruined. This year I have this little tree on the mantel where it’s harder to get to and chew on.

Here’s What You Need:

*Tree Branch

*Black craft paint

*White Spray Paint

*Paint Brush

*Floral Foam

*Vase or Pot

*Moss or other filler

For the Ornaments:

*Wooden Beads

*Paint and brush

*Sharpie or Micron Pen

*Skinny Ribbon

*Scissors

*Bamboo Skewers

For the Tree:

The first thing you want to do is spray paint your branch white. I did about three coats of white on my branch. Once your branch is completely dry, paint stripes starting at the base and going up to the tips. This will take you a little while, and if it gets tricky, once the base is dry enough you can put it in a bud vase to help hold it. Once you have all your stripes, let dry completely. Cut your floral foam block to fit your vase or pot and fit into pot. Insert your branch into the center of the foam. Cover with moss or filler of your choice. Now you have a cute little Halloween Tree.

For the Ghost Ornaments:

Load your beads onto the bamboo skewers leaving space in between. Then paint your beads with white paint, I used three coats of paint. Lay the skewers in between two cups to dry. Once your beads are dry, draw little faces on one side with your micron pen. Cut strips of ribbon about 6 or seven inches long. Fold ribbon in half and tie a double knot leaving a little tail on the end. Push the folded end of the ribbon through the bottom of your bead, and now your ready to hang the ornament on the tree.

I really love how this tree turned out! I love the stripes, it’s spooky cute, but could easily be used for other holidays as well, just change the ornaments. I love the little ghosties as well! They all have different expressions. I hope I have inspired some of you to make a striped tree of your own! I’ll be back again next week with some more creepy and cute Halloween crafts.
