01-DSC_1124Happy Christmas Eve everyone! I hope you all are having a fabulous day! I just finished my holiday wrapping and I thought I’d share it with you guys. I’ve also added a little how to on how to make covered buttons. This is the first year in a while that I have used printed Christmas paper. I usually use kraft paper, but this year there were some beautiful wrapping papers that I just could not resist! One of my staples when gift wrapping is yarn, and I also grab up ribbon at Michael’s when it’s on super sale. I think yarn or ribbons look so much nicer than stick on paper bows. Another fun way to spruce up a package is to add a piece of a Christmas floral pick. You can tape them on or tie them in with the ribbon or yarn.

You need the fabric covered button kits you can find at JoAnns or some local Walmart stores. You also need fabric scraps. I used Christmas fabrics and some vintage tablecloth remnants as well as some vintage images I had printed on fabric. Follow the instructions on the package. You basically cut out your fabric circles using the template on the back. Then you place your fabric face down into the rubber cup, then press the button top face down into the fabric. Fold the excess fabric into the back of the button. Lay the back of the button with the shank facing up and then press the whole thing together by pressing the plastic presser onto the whole thing and pressing down into the rubber cap firmly. Then you can pop out your button and tie it to a package.

The other thing I like to add to my packages is sweet tags. I always use free printables from the internet. I used tags by She Wears Many Hats, Sonya DeHart, and The Sum of All Crafts. There are all kinds of amazing printable tags out there. If you want to find even more check out my Printables board on Pinterest Here.

Adorable wrapping and embellishments! You’ve got such a flair. I’m lucky to get all of my presents wrapped and not tossed in gift bags. Wishing you and yours the merriest of Christmases and the happiest of New Year’s! Cindy xo
