DIY Vintage Gumball Charm Cell Phone Plugs

Hello everyone! Happy Friday! Welcome to day five of my 12 Days of Handmade Gifts! Today I am going to share a really fast and easy diy with you all, Vintage Gumball Charm Cell Phone Plugs. These plugs fit in your earphone jack and keep dirt and ickiness out. They are super cute, and would make an excellent gift for teens, or even as little stocking stuffers. The best part is that you can make one in under ten minutes!

Here’s What You Need:

*Gumball Charms (I bought mine Here)

*Funky Beads

*Eye Pins and Head Pins

*Chain

*Cell Phone Plugs

*Jump Rings

*Jewelry Pliers

Instructions:

The first thing you need to do is assemble your components. Cut two pieces of chain. One to be about 3″ and one to be a little over an inch. Stick your eye pin through your funky bead to make a cute dangle. Then trim the wire and form a loop at the top. Then do the same with a smaller bead on your eye pin. Next, attach your big bead to your shorter strand of chain, and your charm onto the eye pin with the smaller bead and then onto your longer piece of chain. Next, take your two chains and attach them to the hole in the top of your cell phone plug. And that’s it.

These little cell plugs are too fun! I made them for all of my sisters this year. They are a fun addition to your phone, and they help protect the plug from dust. They can still be torn apart, so I wouldn’t suggest them as gifts to younger kids. You can use any kind of charm you like. I really enjoy using the vintage gumball machine charms in mine because they are so kitschy! I hope you all will give this one a try! I’ll be back next week with more fun handmade gift ideas. Until then…

Happy Crafting!
