DIY Spooky Cute Yarn Wrapped Wreath

Hi guys! Today I am really excited to share my new Halloween wreath with you all! I love making yarn wrapped wreaths, they are so fun, and the texture is amazing! This is the first wreath I have made with a stripe. I really like the striped look! I will definitely have to do stripes again. This little wreath was a little time consuming, but the end result is totally worth it!

Here’s What You Need:

*Straw Wreath Form

*Textured Yarn 1 Skein Black, 1 Skein White

*Hot Glue

*White Doily

*Wooden Bead Spiders(tutorial here)

*Felt Flowers (tutorial here)

*Ribbon

Instructions:

The first thing you need to do is wrap your wreath. Tie the black yarn around the top of the wreath. Wrap the black yarn around snugly and scrunch up so that the yarn covers the form with no gaps. Wrap about three inches of your wreath in the black. Then snip the black yarn leaving a small tail and tie the end of your white yarn to the black yarn. Wrap the white yarn around the wreath snugly about three inches.  Then repeat the black and white making stripes until you are all the way around. Then tie off the end and glue the end down. Once you have the wreath wrapped you need to add the doily for the web. Take one end of the doily and stretch it around different ways until you have the layout like you like it. Then glue down starting with the edges that will stretch the farthest. Then pull it towards the edge of the wreath. Glue down the rest of the doily. Snip off excess doily behind the wreath. Next lay out the flowers, then glue them down where you like them. Then add a few spiders where you like and glue down. Then to finish off your wreath tie a wide ribbon around the top for hanging. I absolutely LOVE my Halloween wreath this year! It is totally my style, and it looks fabulous on my front door! Yarn wreaths look complicated, but they are so easy to make! I hope some of you all will try making a striped Halloween wreath like mine sometime! You will have a blast! I will be back tomorrow with more Halloween fun! Until then…

Happy Crafting!
